MVN Engineering Services – MVN’s technical mastery and unwavering commitment to quality, this 17,900 SF food hall was equipped with mechanical systems that go beyond basic function – they form the backbone of a vibrant, efficient, and comfortable dining environment. Designed to support seven distinct restaurant tenants alongside shared common areas, the infrastructure ensures seamless operation, occupant comfort, and compliance with stringent performance standards.

Mechanical Design

Each restaurant tenant

provided with its own dedicated HVAC system, allowing precise control tailored to individual kitchen and dining requirements

Common food hall

space served via rooftop units, delivering reliable conditioning across shared seating and circulation zones Specialized kitchen hoods integrated, ensuring effective capture and removal of heat, grease, and cooking byproducts

Make-up air units (MAU)

installed, supplying balanced ventilation and maintaining safe, comfortable indoor air quality

Kitchen exhaust fans

System design

balanced tenant autonomy with centralized efficiency, ensuring both operational resilience and long-term sustainability

The mechanical systems were tailored to the building’s mixed‑use operations. Key design elements include:

  • First‑floor kitchen exhaust terminated with a wall‑mounted blast fan, supported by a makeup air unit located outside the building.
  • First‑floor retail space served by a fan coil unit paired with a gas‑fired furnace.
  • Second‑floor retail tenant similarly equipped with a dedicated fan coil and furnace system.
  • Each dwelling unit on upper levels provided with its own fan coil unit for independent comfort control.
  • Condensing units strategically located at grade level outside the building for efficient operation and service accessibility.
