MVN’s expertise in performance-driven design guided this hotel renovation, upgrading common space HVAC systems, replacing PTAC units, and modernizing electrical and lighting. The result is a refreshed hospitality environment that enhances guest comfort, efficiency, and reliability while maintaining the building’s character.
Mechanical Design
The mechanical design centered on remodeling HVAC systems in common spaces to improve air distribution and occupant comfort. Existing PTAC units were replaced with new, efficient models to provide localized heating and cooling in guest rooms. System layouts were coordinated to ensure seamless integration with the building’s architecture, while ventilation strategies were refined to meet current code requirements and enhance indoor air quality.
Electrical Design
The electrical design introduced new power distribution to support remodeled HVAC systems and additional outlets across common and guest areas. A new sub-panel was installed to manage loads efficiently, while updated lighting systems were implemented based on revised reflected ceiling plans (RCP). Photometric analysis ensured balanced illumination for both normal and emergency conditions, and code-compliant controls were integrated to deliver energy efficiency and intuitive operation
